Road taped off as man rushed to hospital after crash between car and bike

A cyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Salford tonight.
The incident happened on Belvedere Road adjacent to the A6 at around 6.20pm. Police, firefighters and paramedics were quickly on the scene, according to nearby residents.
The cyclist was taken to hospital. Their condition has not yet been revealed.

Belvedere Road remained close following the incident, which prompted a significant response from the emergency services. Nearby residents reported a number of fire engines as well as police and an ambulance crew at the scene.
Residents reported that the road was taped off and a bicycle could be seen in the road.
A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "At around 6:20pm today (Saturday, 15th July), firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a collision between a car and a cyclist on Belvedere Road in Salford.
"One fire engine from Salford fire station quickly attended the scene. Fire service trauma technicians assisted colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and Greater Manchester Police (GMP) to treat one male casualty, who was then taken to hospital.
"Crews were at the scene for around 40 minutes."
