Archie Gray has been told he can “get better options than Manchester United” in the summer transfer market ahead of a possible move away from Leeds United.
The youngster, 18 today, has starred for Leeds in the Championship this season, having mostly played at right-back despite being a natural midfield pivot. He has played in all but two league games this season, starting 32 of his 35 outings.
Gray’s rise is said to have caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Man United. He admitted in February that he had no intention of leaving mid-season despite January exit links but his future at Leeds could depend on promotion.

Leeds are currently in the Championship automatic promotion spots with nine games of the regular season to go. Daniel Farke will do well to hold onto the teenager - the son of former Leeds star Andy Gray - this summer but a Premier League return would make the task a lot easier.
Despite it not being his natural position, Gray is ranked by market analysts The CIES Observatory as the most promising right-back under the age of 21 in world football. It’s no surprise that several clubs hold an interest in the starlet but former striker Don Goodman is unsure Man United would be the best next destination for him.
“It’s a tough one because of the history and the rivalry between the sides, going back many, many years," he told MOT Leeds News. “Being a member of the Gray family, I’m sure he’s fully up to speed with the dislike those two football clubs have.
“Whether it comes down to that remains to be seen. But, if I’m honest, at the moment he could probably get better options
