A convicted rapist who carried out a vile attack on a woman when he was aged just 13 was arrested at Manchester Airport after failing to tell police he was going on holiday.
Balal Khan was just a 13-year-old child when he robbed and raped a woman as she walked home in Cobridge back in 2009, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports. He was aged 14 when he was sentenced to three years in a young offenders' institution the following year.
A judge ruled that Khan's baby-faced mugshot and name could be released after the sick attack. Now, aged 28, Khan has found himself back before the courts.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard he breached the notification requirements of the sex offenders' register by going to Spain. Under the terms, he has to give the police seven days' notice of foreign travel.
But last June, he went to Girona and Barcelona for four days without informing Staffordshire Police. He was arrested after Border Control at Manchester Airport alerted his supervising officer.
Khan was sentenced to 27 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months. Prosecutor Antony Longworth told the court how Khan was convicted of rape in 2009.
He was jailed in January 2010 and placed on the sex offenders' register until further order. But on June 5, 2023 Khan went to Girona and Barcelona without informing the police.
He returned on June 8. Mr Longworth said: "His return was notified by Border Control at Manchester Airport to his supervisor and risk assessor on June 9.
"He was arrested on June 12 and the officer seized his passport." The court heard the defendant claimed there was an emergency as an uncle had been involved in a car crash.
