Queer Eye star Tom Jackson has died at age 63 following a battle with cancer. Tom, 63, had been battling with metastatic adenocarcinoma, which is a gland cancer that has spread to other areas of the body, for an unknown amount of time. The news of Tom's passing was announced on the official Queer Eye Instagram page as they mourned the loss of their friend who appeared on the first season of the hit Netflix reboot show in 2018.
They wrote: "it’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a member of our Queer Eye family. Rest in peace, Tom Jackson"They included a slide of photos from when Tom was on the show with the Queer Eye hosts, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown, Tan France and Bobby Berk. Tan was quick to comment on the post, saying: "Such incredibly sad news.
" while Jonathan penned: "RIP Tom" along with a simple red love heart. Bobby was also seen commenting: "RIP Tom. Having a Redneck Margarita in your honor.
"In his Queer Eye episode - titled 'You Can't Fix Ugly' - Tom told the Queer Eyes that one of his favourite drinks were a "redneck margarita", a potent combination of Mountain Dew and tequila that made them gag when they heard about it. The Fab Five gave him a makeover to help him regain his confidence after his health had been declining due to his Lupus diagnosis. The episode also saw the hosts give his wardrobe a makeover, redecorated his home and also set Jackson on a healthier path.
