It’s been a tough few weeks for the royal family, since losing their much-loved Queen and matriarch. And it’s clear Harry has felt the loss keenly, with the prince looking extremely emotional as he attended the funeral with wife Meghan Markle last week, amid a still-troubling feud with his father and brother.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have returned to the site of their 2018 royal wedding. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen back in Windsor, England, on Monday amid the events surrounding thestate funeral, procession, and committal service for Queen Elizabeth II at St. George's Chapel. The funeral took place at Westminster Abbey in London, England, with Harry and Meghan seated behind his father, King Charles III, and stepmother, Camilla, the Queen Consort.

Meghan Markle got emotional on Monday during the state funeral of her late grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II. Dressed in a black dress --  which she paired with a matching wide-brimmed hat, gloves, tights, and heels — the 41-year-old Duchess of Sussex appeared to wipe tears from her eyes during the service which took place at Westminster Abbey.In one photo, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, who is the wife of the queen's youngest son, Prince Edward, appears to be about to comfort Meghan as the former actress has her head bowed down with her hand up to her face.

A not-so-united front. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join the royal family to meet with world leaders ahead of Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral on Sunday, September 18, after seemingly being uninvited.

The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it wasn’t clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who settled in California after stepping down as senior royals in 2020 – reportedly initially received an invitation to the Sunday evening reception, but conflicting reports said they were and weren’t expected to attend.  According to the Telegraph, they have now been uninvited because palace officials insisted that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, is only for working royals, which Harry and Meghan are not. Prince Harry turned 38 on Thursday but don't expect the Duke of Sussex to commemorate the occasion publicly, if at all, following Queen Elizabeth II's death.A source close to the royal family tells ET that the family is in a one-month period of mourning and Harry is not expected to do anything to mark the day, except spend it privately. Her Majesty died one week before Harry's birthday, and since then a number of events have taken place and will continue taking place, culminating with Elizabeth's state funeral scheduled for Monday at 6 a.m.

Nevertheless, Charles acknowledged them after praising his wife Camilla, Queen Consort, and his heir, Prince William, and William's wife, Kate Middleton.«I count on the loving help of my darling wife, Camilla. In recognition of her own loyal public service since our marriage 17 years ago, she becomes my Queen Consort,» Charles said near the end of his speech.

Prince Harry seems to be offering some comfort of his own to others amid the news of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II's, death. The 37-year-old Duke of Sussex was seen placing his hand on the shoulder of an airport employee as the woman spoke to him at the Aberdeen Airport on Friday, one day after the queen died at age 96. Harry was wearing a black suit and carrying a North Face backpack as he made his way to his flight. The father of two was flying out of Scotland after rushing to be with his family at Balmoral Castle on Thursday amid the news of his grandmother's declining health.

Prince Harry is heading out, and seemingly providing some reassurance.

The couple took to the website for their Archewell Foundation to mark the Queen's passing.Setting the site to all-black, the website, whose front page usually contains information about the foundation and its upcoming events, was devoted completely to the Queen with a message in white that reads, «In loving memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.» Underneath were the Queen's birth and death year, marking her 96 years of life, from 1926 until her passing in 2022.On Thursday, Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II — the United Kingdom's longest-reigning monarch -- had passed at the age of 96.«The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,» the palace's statement read.
