Prince Andrew “will not leave” his home on the Windsor estate amid claims he’s wanted out of the property by King Charles, sources have said. The Duke of York, 63, has lived at the 98-acre Royal Lodge estate since 2003, reportedly telling friends there’s “no chance” he’ll be leaving the house after spending millions on renovations .
The Duke lives in the mansion in the grounds of Windsor with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, 63, despite the couple getting divorced in 1996. A source said: “He [said] he’s not leaving, there is no chance that will happen and even if the King wanted him how would that work? “The King won’t evict him so there is no chance it will come to that.” A palace source insisted to The Mirror the King “won’t leave his brother homeless and penniless”, amid fears of a royal row between the pair. They added: “Could you imagine a situation where the Duke threatens to sue his brother, the King, over money? It would be unthinkable.” OK! has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.
Located in Windsor, just a stone’s throw away from the late Queen’s own residence, Andrew and Sarah continue to reside in the Royal Lodge, a beautiful £30m period property that is currently Grade II listed, after they inherited it from the Queen Mother upon her death. However, it is not the only property frequented by the couple, with daughters Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice reported to have recently bought their mother a £4.3 million home in Belgravia.
Prince Andrew officially stepped away from royal duties three years ago after he was embroiled in a scandal when he was accused of sexual assault in a US civil case brought by Virginia Giuffre. Virginia, now 38, claimed she was forced into sex at 17 with the Duke by Epstein and Ghislaine
