Primark has opened Hello Kitty themed cafes at two Greater Manchester stores. The cafe arrived at the Trafford Palazzo branch on Wednesday and opens at Manchester's Market Street store today, Thursday.
They will serve up 'an array of limited-edition treats inspired by Hello Kitty', such as sweet waffles and savoury ‘bow’ buns, alongside themed beverages including a choice of bubble teas and shakes.
If the retailer's previous themed cafes, based on The Grinch and Disney's Lilo & Stitch, are anything to go by, they'll be a popular addition for shoppers, with Hello Kitty herself making special guest appearances in select locations over the coming weeks.

The cafes are part of a partnership between Primark and Sanrio to celebrate 50 years of the iconic character, which has seen a new collection launched in stores.
Featuring more than 100 items across womenswear, kidswear and homeware, it says 'the entire range embodies the timeless charm of Hello Kitty, that all generations know and love'.
Prices start from £1 and the range includes everything from cosy loungewear and graphic tees, to nightwear, bags and playful accessories, each piece said to be 'infused with the signature kawaii style of the beloved character'.
The cafes will be open from now until June so there's plenty of time to give them a try.
Sarah Jackson, director of licensing at Primark, said: “Hello Kitty has been a cultural phenomenon since her debut in 1974, captivating hearts around the globe with her cute aesthetic. At Primark, we pride ourselves on our extensive license offering and we’re thrilled to reveal our new collection, marking another exciting chapter in Hello Kitty's enduring legacy.
