Police are appealing for information after a serious crash in Stockport which saw two people cut from a van and a car. Four people were injured and two people currently remain in hospital after the collision yesterday afternoon (August 7).
Emergency services were scrambled to the smash on Bramhall Lane, Davenport, at around 4.45pm. The road was completely taped off by police following the collision between a black Ford van and a silver Renault car. Both were heavily damaged.
Pictures taken from the scene yesterday show a large police presence with a significant section of the road taped off with cars being turned around. The front of both vehicles were seriously damaged with a large amount of debris at the scene.

Three fire engines attended the incident, according to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS), and were at the scene for at least an hour and a half. Firefighters had to cut two men from the vehicles, before they were taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
Greater Manchester Police are now appealing for information about the collision. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “At around 4:50pm on Sunday 7 August 2022, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Bramhall Lane, Stockport.
“Emergency services attended the scene. Four people were reported to be injured, two people remain in hospital.
