Police and paramedics swarm McDonald's after elderly man suffers 'medical episode'

Police and paramedics swarmed a McDonald's car park in Whitefield on Tuesday afternoon (December 5) after a man suffered a 'medical episode'.
A large emergency services presence was reported outside the fast food restaurant, off Bury New Road, shortly after 1pm on Tuesday, including ambulances and incident response vehicles.
The Manchester Evening News understands a man, thought to be aged in his 70s, suffered a 'medical episode' after a fall and was taken to hospital from the scene. The nature of his condition has not been confirmed.

The North West Ambulance Service sent a number of responses to the scene, including two ambulances and a first responder. A number of police vehicles were also reportedly at the scene.
Emergency services attended the incident at around 1.06pm, with the male patient taken to hospital by paramedics before the scene was cleared later on Tuesday afternoon.
