Plans for a new tourist attraction in a West Lothian village were set out at a special exhibition for locals.
The exhibition updated West Calder residents on an ambitious proposal to develop the Scottish Co-op Discovery and Activity Centre in a former Co-op Bakery in the centre of the village.
West Calder and Harburn Development Trust has been working on proposals to revitalise the village’s central and pioneering role in the creation of the Co-operative movement in Victorian Scotland.
If agreed, the attraction has been likened to Glasgow’s Science Museum.
Staff at the CDT are working with architects and the council on the proposals, which will create jobs and revitalise the economy.
A meeting was held last month in West Calder to give locals some more details.
