Pictures show dramatic aftermath of crash as motorcyclist left seriously hurt

A motorcyclist has been left seriously injured after a crash in Stockport.
The smash between a motorbike and a car happened on Hereford Road in the Brinnington area at around 9.20am yesterday (Tuesday). Police officers and paramedics were scrambled to the scene.
Police said the biker 'became unseated' and suffered serious injuries. Officers cordoned off a stretch of the road after the incident.

Pictures showed the white car left badly damaged at the front, while the wrecked motorbike was left overturned in the road partially beneath the bumper. Any witnesses of the crash are now being urged to come forward.
Officers also want to speak to anyone who has dash cam footage from the area at the time. In a statement, GMP said: "GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Brinnington yesterday (Tuesday 27 February 2024).
"At around 9.20am on Hereford Road, a car collided with a motorbike, causing the rider to become unseated. He sustained serious injuries.
"Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage, to come forward and assist their investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741, quoting log 710 of 27/02/2024.
