Phillip Schofield has broken his silence on social media after reports claimed his future at This Morning could be in doubt. The 61 year old TV presenter appeared to brush off any rumours as he enjoyed a night in with his daughter Molly, 29, on Saturday evening and shared snaps of the pair together. Phillip, who is dad to daughters Molly and Ruby, 26, took to Instagram to share a selfie of him and Molly as they sipped glasses of red wine together, writing: "Dinner with @mollyschofe," along with a sticker which said 'Love You'.
The dad of two then posted a second snap of him and his daughter in fits of laughter together, adding: "Bloopers @mollyschofe". Phillip's fun night with Molly comes after reports began circulating claiming his future This Morning could allegedly be in doubt. Reports claim ITV bosses are considering "reshuffling presenters", which means Philip, whose hosted the show since 2002, could see his regular presenting slot on This Morning cancelled as regular guest host Alison Hammond's popularity continues to soar.
Alison, 48, who presents the show on Fridays with Dermot O'Leary, recently filled in for Phillip when he took time off due to his brother Timothy Schofield's court trial and viewers appeared to welcome the change. According to The Mail on Sunday, ITV bosses have been monitoring social media to see how viewers react to presenters, with many appearing to be in favour of Alison. "It has put an idea into the heads of ITV chiefs – to bring a bit of 'girl power' to the show," a source told The Mail On Sunday.
