Happy Valley actress Sophie Rundle, also well known for playing Ada Thorne in Peaky Blinders, has revealed she is expecting her second child with her husband Matt Stokoe.
The star first shared the exciting news during a previous appearance on The One Show, but has now taken to Instagram to share a pregnancy update with fans and a snap of her blossoming bump.
The actress starred in recent ITV drama After the Flood alongside her real-life husband, Matt Stockoe. Sophie, 35, played a pregnant police officer in the drama series.
Now the Peaky Blinders actress has revealed that she is expecting herself – but has admitted that her TV role has made it feel like she’s been pregnant for a long time. On The One Show, Sophie said: "I am now pregnant in real life.
So this is starting to feel like the longest pregnancy any human woman has ever endured." During the appearance on the BBC show in January, Sophie revealed the couple's happy news and added that because she'd been filming with a fake baby bump, it now feels like she's had the 'longest pregnancy'. Sophie, who also starred in Gentleman Jack, also revealed that wearing the fake bump nearly put her off having another child.
She said: "Wasn’t pregnant then, had a big fake bump and I think I was sort of put off when I had the fake bump then enough time had passed and now I’m going in for more." On Instagram, alongside the new picture of her baby bump, Sophie wrote: "I forget who I have and haven't told at this point because I've been busy trying to remember what a waistband is and stop my three year old using my belly like a trampoline but big ol' baby number two incoming. Ain't that a nice thing." This will be Sophie and Matt’s second child.
