"It’s no goals in four games now, and it’s becoming a bit embarrassing," he told TNT Sports after the game when assessing United's display. "In the second half it really fizzled out and there was no creativity.
"You look at the West Ham team and you are thinking of the partnerships and the connections they have, they look like a team that can score goals and create. Then you look at Manchester United’s front five, it’s like they don’t know each other and they have not been on the training pitch every day.
"When I was playing, did the manager ever tell me how to score a goal? I don’t think he did. Did he tell me how to pass it to a front player? Possibly.
"You cannot create connections unless you are on the training pitch every single day and getting to know each other. I felt that in our team, we knew what each other's strengths were. In this team, I don’t think they know how to play together and it’s costing them."
