Paul O’Grady's daughter has spoken out about her father's death, sharing how she and her mum are "distraught" and "devastated". Paul passed away on 28 March at the age of 67, his husband Andre Portasio announced in a statement on 29th March. Andre said: "It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening.
"The late TV star's daughter Sharon Mousley, 48, has now spoken on Paul's sudden death. Speaking to MailOnline from her home in Liverpool, Sharon said: "What can I say? We are all devastated, I am, my mum is, everyone is. "The mum-of-two also emotionally added: "We loved him and we will miss him.
We are all distraught. "Sharon was born in May 1974 when Paul was just 18 years old. He welcomed Sharon with close friend Diane Jansen.
Sharon appeared alongside her famous father on a number of occasions, including when he was awarded an MBE for services to entertainment in 2008 at Buckingham Palace. Paul also gave his daughter away at her wedding and made a speech at the reception. Speaking after the nuptials, the Lily Savage star gushed: "It was a really great day.
Sharon looked fabulous and Philip is a smashing fella. They fit together like a pan and a lid. She looked like a Disney princess.
"Through Sharon, Paul also has two grandchildren, Abel, who recently turned 16, and Halo, thought to now be around 14. Paul also leaves behind husband Andre, who announced his death in a heartbreaking statement on Wednesday morning. Andre, who married Paul in 2017, said: "It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening.
