Paddy McGuinness looked mortified as he failed to realise he was live on-air on This Morning on Friday. The TV presenter, 49, appeared on the ITV daytime programme to chat about his new Channel 4 show, Tempting Fortune, with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
However, chaos soon ensued when Paddy didn't realise he was live on-air and made a jokey comment as Dermot, 49, told viewers that singer Marti Pellow would be performing on This Morning. Footage from one of Marti's music videos was shown, which included a woman caressing her body, and Paddy could be heard saying: "Look at that...
yes!" Paddy insisted the comment was about Marti and then turned to Alison, 48, and asked: "Tell me now, be serious, because you know what it's like, are we on?" Alison and Dermot began to laugh before Alison joked: "I don't feel very well." Still confused, Paddy proceeded to ask the pair: "Seriously, you two before I start effing and jeffing, are we on? Are we on the telly?" To which Dermot replied: "I apologise, but yes, this is on the telly." Clearly mortified, Take Me Out host Paddy then said: "Oh my God, why didn't you give me a heads up?" The interview finally resumed, and Paddy told Alison and Dermot all about his new Channel 4 show before congratulating Alison on her new gig as the host of The Great British Bake Off. TV star Paddy also spoke about his former co-star Peter Kay, 49, and revealed whether they could reunite for another series of hit comedy show Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere.
He revealed: "We wrote a couple of Christmas specials a long, long time ago, with a plan to do them and they just never happened. "So, they’re there, but there’s certainly nothing scheduled or anything like that.
