Outlander star Sam Heughan praised his new co-star Eleanor Tomlinson ahead of their much anticipated Channel 4 thriller - which hits screens this month.
The Scots actor is set to appear in 'The Couple Next Door' in a star-studded cast which involves former Poldark star Eleanor, 31, Pennyworth's Jessica De Gouw and How To Get Away With Murder's Alfred Enoch.
The six-part psychological drama explores the claustrophobic feel of suburbia and the troubles of giving in to romantic desires.
Sam is so far best known for his portrayal of Jamie Fraser in hit Starz show Outlander, which is set and filmed in Scotland.
But as the show approaches its final season - with the cast set to begin filming very soon for the eighth and final instalment now that the Hollywood strikes are over - the Balmaclellan-born star, 43, is looking to the future, and taken some tips from his stunning new co-star.
Eleanor knows a thing or two about moving on from a huge show, having appeared in all five series of the BBC's smash hit reboot of Poldark.
Speaking to Metro, Sam said: "Eleanor and I talked about it a lot as we both had a similar trajectory.
"It’s just nice to see that she’s having such a successful career and that she’s really branched out into doing other projects, but also she’s not feeling the pressure of having to secure other work or to to live up to expectations.
"She’s really challenging herself. That’s something that I kind of take on board. I’m going to take my time choosing the next project and hopefully, it’ll be something completely different."
As we reported last week, Sam and Eleanor led the cast in attendance at the screening for the channel 4 show, and earlier he'd posted a very exciting update to fans.
