Oprah is speaking out about the Ozempic craze.
The 69-year-old talk show host recently appeared at The Life You Want Class: The State of Weight panel with obesity specialists Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford and Dr. Melanie Jay, as well as psychologist Dr. Rachel Goldman.
During the panel, she discussed the media’s treatment of her weight throughout her career, as well as the recent popularity of weight loss drugs.

“Shouldn’t we all just be more accepting of whatever body you choose to be in?” Oprah asked at one point.
“That should be your choice… Even when I first started hearing about the weight loss drugs, at the same time I was going through knee surgery, and I felt, ‘I’ve got to do this on my own.’ Because if I take the drug, that’s the easy way out,’” she continued, per People.
She also recalled being “shamed in the tabloids every week about for 25 years” for not “having the willpower” to lose weight.
Ozempic is a once-weekly injectable medication formulated to help adults with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar.
Several celebrities have denied being on the drug, while others have been open about their Ozempic use.
