Ncuti Gatwa is embracing the 1960s fashion scene in brand new pics from the set of Doctor Who!
The 30-year-old actor, who will next appear in the Barbie movie, was spotted filming with Millie Gibson on the set of the BBC series in Cardiff, Wales on Monday (April 24).
Announced as the newest Doctor on the time-traveling series last year, Ncuti will officially be the 15th Doctor, with Millie as his “companion”, Ruby Sunday.
“Sometimes you know you’ve got a secret. And you hold it close to your chest and let it burn, because secrets are so delicious,” showrunner Russell T. Davies teased about the forthcoming season and new iteration of the Doctor in an interview with RadioTimes.
He added, “I’ve got that right now, because my secret is seeing Ncuti with Millie Gibson on the rushes of Doctor Who, every single day, and oh my God, this is so good!”
“I can promise you a completely new Doctor, and yet a Doctor utterly faithful to the 60 years that came before. Soon, the secret will be out, and we’ll all be dancing!”
Stay tuned for the official return date of Doctor Who, which will kick off Ncuti‘s run as the Doctor.
