Varada Sethu has officially joined “Doctor Who” Season 2 as the new companion of Ncuti Gatwa‘s Doctor — but she won’t be replacing current companion Millie Gibson, as previously reported. In January, rumors swirled that Gibson, who made her debut as companion Ruby Sunday in the sci-fi show’s Christmas special, would not be returning for Season 2 after Gatwa was spotted filming with Sethu.

Jack Dunn Disney+ has released the first trailer for its series reboot of the classic sci-fi adventure series “Doctor Who,” lead by “Sex Education” star Ncuti Gatwa as the titular time jumper and Millie Gibson as his traveling partner Ruby Sunday.
