Though Vanessa Gregory had always been self-conscious about her weight, she just didn’t have any motivation to slim down.
The mum-of-two had been on the “bigger side” since her school days and had never dieted in her life.
But after booking a trip to Tenerife for later this year, the 27-year-old finally had the incentive she needed to shift the pounds for good.

Vanessa, from Crewe, signed up to slimming group Beeweighed in February and expected to lose a stone at most.
But incredibly, the mum went on to shed an eye-watering five stone in just five months – going from a dress size 20 to a size 12.
“I’ve never dieted,” she told the Manchester Evening News. “I’ve always been on the bigger side, even from being in school.
“The whole reason I wanted to lose weight was because I’m going to Tenerife in September with my sisters, so I thought I need to do something. Honestly, I didn’t even think I’d lose a stone.”
Vanessa weighed around 18 stone when she first started her weight loss journey, now weighing in at 12 stone.
Before her incredible transformation, the mum would “religiously” gorge on takeaways every week and could eat up to three chocolate bars a day.
She believes the main reason her weight ballooned to 18 stone was because she would eat the leftovers from her kids’ dinners every night as well as her own.
But combined with attending spin classes three times a week and calorie counting, she now feels better than she ever has before.
“I’ve got two little boys and I feel like I’ve got so much more energy,” she added.
