Rav Wilding's family life looks idyllic, with a happy marriage and an adorable daughter but the BBC Morning Live presenter has had a bumpy ride to get there. With a very public split from a former Celebrity Big Brother winner and a cancelled engagement in his past, Rav, 46, went through his share of heartache in trying to find lasting love. He and wife Jill Morgan have also been through some personal struggles over the years but look like life couldn't be better now - here's everything you need to know about TV star Rav's love life highs and lows.
Engagement to Lauren Alcorn Rav might be a familiar face on our screens now, but he wasn't always a TV star. He started his career in the Army but had to leave after badly breaking his leg, and later joined the Met Police. He stepped into the spotlight after applying to be a contestant in survival show Eden and his TV career took off, launching his personal life into the headlines, too.
Rav's first high-profile romance was with air hostess Lauren Alcorn, who also counts Rio Ferdinand amongst her exes. She and Rav were engaged, but never married and eventually split in 2009, with Rav hinting to the Daily Star in 2008 that living separately was causing a strain. "We’re not living together," he said.
"She lives in Nottingham and I live in Kent.
The distance can be very hard especially when I’m filming but it’s something you have to get on with. You’ve got to make time for each other when you can. We’ve not set a date for the wedding yet." However, in 2010 during a court case against a cyber stalker who had targeted him with threats and explicit messages, Rav's lawyers said that the strain of the stalking had contributed to his break-up with Lauren.
