A Scots man at the centre of a missing person search answered his own police appeal on social media by asking 'can a guy not have time out?'
Officers were seeking help from the public to find Steven Auld, who was last seen in the Sighthill Grove area of Edinburgh on Monday night.
The 51-year-old was formally reported missing to Police Scotland on Tuesday, March 19, with enquiries launched to trace him.
Inspector Paul Thomson said it was "out of character" for Steven "to be away from his family for this length of time" in a post on the Police Scotland Facebook page.

He urged Steven to make contact with officers by calling 101 so they could ensure he was safe and well.
But an account, under the name of Steven Auld, replied to the plea and commented: "F*** sake. I’m ok. Police taking too far. Can a guy not have time out?"
On Wednesday morning, the force confirmed Steven had been traced and thanked the public for their help.
