A body has been found during the search for a missing Scots hiker who failed to return from the Crianlarich mountains.
Ivan Meyer, from Edinburgh, was reported missing on Tuesday after vanishing during a trip to climb An Caisteal and Beinn a Chroin the day before.
The 45-year-old’s disappearance was described as “extremely out-of-character for him” by police who issued an appeal for help to find him.
A body was recovered near Beinn A Chroin at around 11.30am on Wednesday.
Formal identification has yet to take place but Mr Meyer’s family have been informed.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “Around 11.30 am on Wednesday, 3 April, the body of a man was found near Beinn A Chroin.
“Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Ivan Meyer, 45, reported missing near Crianlarich, have been made aware.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
