October is well underway and it's safe to say we're truly into autumn now.
The sun has already began to set earlier and it won't be long until the clocks go back, making the evenings darker even sooner. Greater Manchester has already endured a hit-or-miss summer - ranging from heatwaves to wet, miserable conditions.

Here is the exact date wall-to-wall sunshine is forecast to hit Greater Manchester, according to the Met Office.
Monday and Tuesday look set to be a washout, with spells of heavy rain stretching across both days. Monday morning will start out dry and cloudy, with light rain forecast from the late afternoon.
This will turn heavy from around 8pm, extending into the early hours of Tuesday morning. Temperatures will peak at 15C.
Light rain is forecast from Tuesday morning, turning heavy from 9am until around 3pm before it becomes lighter. Conditions will remain cloudy before light rain spells start up again, with temperatures peaking at 15C.
Wednesday will remain cloudy but dry as temperatures become slightly warmer, hitting 17C. Much of the same is forecast for Thursday, with the chance of some light rainfall overnight.
Friday will also stay dry, with cloudy conditions and temperatures climbing to 19C. Saturday is when the sunshine will finally breakthrough.
