Meghan Markle has revealed what Prince Harry said to her following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Speaking in a new interview in the latest edition of Variety, Meghan also opened up on how the family are dealing with the loss of their matriarch. She said: “There’s been such an outpouring of love and support.
“I’m really grateful that I was able to be with my husband to support him, especially during that time. What’s so beautiful is to look at the legacy his grandmother was able to leave on so many fronts.

“Certainly, in terms of female leadership, she is the most shining example of what that looks like.”
Meghan also shared the “deep gratitude” she felt at being able to spend time with and get to know the Queen, describing the period following her death as a “complicated time.” She said: “I’ve reflected on that first official engagement I had with her, how special that felt.
“I feel fortunate. And I continue to be proud to have had a nice warmth with the matriarch of the family.”
In revealing Prince Harry’s emotional remark to her following the Queen’s death, she praised her husband for being “ever the optimist.” She said: “My husband said, ‘Now she’s reunited with her husband.’”
