Meg Ryan opened up about her return to the world of acting with her new rom-com What Happens Later.
The 61-year-old Sleepless in Seattle actress’ last movie was Ithica, which premiered in 2015. Her latest project also marks her first rom-com since 2009′s Serious Moonlight. She also directed and co-wrote the film.
In a new interview, Meg discussed how it felt to get back into work and whether she preferred to act or direct.

“Truly, the easiest part was acting in it,” Meg told Carol Burnett during a conversation for Interview Magazine.
She continued, saying, “I hadn’t done a role in a really long time, but it was fun with David [Duchovny, co-star]. A lot of it was done in two shots. I’m proud of that. I set up everything beforehand so that once we were there, it was just David and I trying to tell the truth.”
