This Morning star Matthew Wright has broken his silence on Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's "feud" as the drama rumbles on.The 57 year old TV presenter and former tabloid journalist often appears on the show to debate current affairs, and now he's spoken out about his This Morning colleagues, who co-present it. Rumours of a fall-out between the once-close Holly, 42, and Phil, 61, have been swirling of late, with many wondering what the future holds for This Morning and its current format. But Matthew took to Twitter to slam any suggestions that things on-set are anything but rosy, as he cited a "terrific atmosphere" during his recent appearance.
"Not sure I believe half of what you read about Holly and Phil," he tweeted on Tuesday. "Terrific atmosphere on set today as per" with a heart face emoji. Holly and Phil are reportedly said to have had a falling out, despite previously having a friendship that was so close, they used to go on holiday together with their families.
They are said to be "barely speaking" to one another off-camera, and all eyes have been on them this week as they presented a united front to co-present the show as normal. After reports of a feud emerged towards the end of last week, Phil made a shock public statement, apparently leaving Holly "blindsided" as he revealed that "things haven't been easy" for him and Holly recently as he described her as his "rock". He told The Sun: “We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.
