Holly Willoughby is reportedly 'looking forward' to returning to This Morning next week amidst the Phillip Schofield affair scandal.
The mother-of-three is currently enjoying her extended half-term break in Portugal with her family as Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary host This Morning in her absence. Holly, 42, has been absent from the flagship ITV show since Phillip announced his immediate departure two weeks ago.
Since Phillip, 61, confessed to an affair with a younger male colleague ITV bosses have called for an external review. In the letter, Dame Carolyn said there has been "a lot of inaccuracy" in reporting and she added that the former employee Schofield admitted to an affair with has been offered support throughout.
Following his affair admission, Phillip, 61, has since resigned from ITV as a whole, been dropped by his agency, and on Tuesday was dropped as an ambassador for youth charity The Prince’s Trust.
Speaking to the Mirror, sources said that Holly is looking forward to returning to her usual presenting slot on This Morning. The insider said: "She is looking forward to getting back to business on the sofa next week but in the meantime is determined to enjoy some downtime with her family after a crazy few weeks.”
Pals added that she is “super relaxed” about the prospect of giving evidence to the barrister-led review. A source added: “Holly will of course 100 percent cooperate with the inquiry should she be asked, as she has nothing to hide whatsoever.
“She has made crystal clear that Phil lied to her about his relationship with the runner, and is super relaxed about giving her version of events."
