Actor, comedian, writer and presenter Matt Lucas has had a wide and varied career across TV and film. Saturday night (March 2) will also see him pop up as Star Guest Announcer on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, in what is the final series before the Geordie duo take a break from the show.
After initially coming to public attention on Shooting Stars, Matt became a household name alongside David Walliams on Little Britain. The show has since proved controversial but last year it was revealed a reboot is on the cards.
Matt previously presented The Great British Bake Off and younger fans will know him from his children's books, including The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas and his My Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Silly Book series.

Matthew Richard Lucas was born in Paddington, London on March 5, 1964. He grew up in Stanmore and went to Aylward Primary School before going on to Haberdasher’s Aske’s boys school.
He developed a talent for performing comic characters and honed his craft by watching the masters of classic comedy at work.
Matt studied Theatre, Film and Television at the University of Bristol but did not complete his degree, deciding to take a one-year sabbatical before other opportunities beckoned. He also spent time with the National Youth Theatre, where he met future collaborator David Walliams.
He is from a Jewish family and told the Jewish Chronicle he is "a secular Jew and proud of my Jewishness". He recalled: "I was a good boy. Shul on Saturday mornings, Hebrew classes on Sunday mornings, club on Sunday afternoons, more Hebrew classes on Tuesday and cubs on a Thursday! I helped run the youth clubs regularly until I was about 19."
