Marcus Rashford has appealed to his followers on Twitter to try and help him find a youngster whom he gifted his shirt to following Manchester United’s game with Arsenal at the weekend.
The England striker revealed that someone had stolen the shirt from the boy, and hopes to send him another one as a replacement. On Saturday, both Rashford and Jesse Lingard gave their jerseys to members of Arsenal’s Under-Nines team at the Emirates, fulfilling a promise they had made pre-match.
It was said by Daily Mail journalist Adrian Kajumba that the gesture “looked like they made the day for those kids.” However, Rashford revealed on Tuesday that someone had despicably stolen the shirt from the school-age football hopeful.

Writing on Twitter, he said: “Someone’s only gone and snatched my shirt out of little man’s hands after I gave it to him. Can anyone help me find him so I can send him another one?”
Rashford, who in November received an MBE for his work combating child poverty, has frequently gone out of his way to help children across the country in recent years. After successfully challenging the government to reinstate free school meals last year, he established an initiative to help kids with money in March.
