Marco Silva said his Fulham players panicked towards the end of the game, allowing Bruno Fernandes to find a stoppage-time winner in Manchester United’s 1-0 win at Craven Cottage.
The manager said the hosts dictated the play in the second half and created “better chances” but lapses in concentration from certain players allowed United to grab the win. Joao Palhinha’s poor clearance initially fell to Fernandes, who moved away from Sasa Lukic before firing home via the palm of goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
“It’s frustrating really,” Silva told TNT Sports. “We’re disappointed with what happened in the last few minutes of the game, but we had a very good second half.

“The first half was more balanced, not many chances for both sides but in the second half, we controlled the game and were on the front foot. We had the better chances and should’ve created even more.
“I’ve already told the players that they need to keep their emotions in check on the pitch, all the way until the last minute of the game, but we let ourselves get panicked.
"It wasn’t a collective issue, it was one, two, three players within a 10-second span which is unfortunate but difficult to understand.”
