Harry Maguire was determined to carry on playing against Fulham on Saturday after picking up an early knock to the head.
Maguire went down inside the first minute at Craven Cottage after colliding with Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz as the pair battled for possession. The centre-back suffered a blow to the head and looked slightly dazed.
After being checked by United's medical staff and following concussion protocols, Maguire continued and produced another solid performance, despite going down again with a hand injury. Erik ten Hag's side went on to win 1-0, with Bruno Fernandes scoring the winner in added time.

“Obviously I got a knock really early in the game but the doc did all the tests, I knew where I was, was answering all the questions and I completed them thankfully,” Maguire told MUTV. “If the doc says I’m okay to carry on, I’m always going to carry on.
“So, no, it felt good to be able to get through the game, help the lads to a clean sheet and more importantly three points.”
Those three points were all that mattered on Saturday after United had endured a torrid start to the season, compounded by consecutive 3-0 home defeats by Manchester City and Newcastle. The performance was far from perfect, however, with Fulham arguably the better side in the second half.
