Former striker Louis Saha believes Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat would bring unrivalled qualities to Manchester United amid ongoing reports linking him with a move to Old Trafford.
The Morocco international, who turns 27 next month, has been heavily linked with a move to M16 over the last few weeks as the Reds gear up for the start of the new Premier League season. They have already strengthened their midfield options with the signing of Mason Mount but remain hungry to add further additions.
Amrabat's brother, Nordin, claimed back in March that United had attempted to sign the Fiorentina ace on loan in January. He suggested that the Reds saw a loan bid with an option to buy turned down by the Italian club.
However, links with a move to United have gathered pace again in recent weeks, prompting suggestions from some Reds supporters that the club should consider moving for him, pointing to how a back-up defensive midfielder would add strength in depth to a key area.
