Graham Potter would be a better manager than Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, according to a former England striker.
The Seagulls boss has been lauded for his managerial skills since being appointed at Brighton. He has guided his side to 10 points in the first five games of the season and would have gone top of the table on Tuesday night had they beaten Fulham, who they lost 2-1 to.
Many have touted Potter to take over a top six team in the future given his accomplishments on the south coast. Brighton finished ninth last season, only seven points behind United in sixth.

Ten Hag has currently registered six points from his first four games, albeit masterminded a galvanising 2-1 win over Liverpool following the 4-0 drubbing to Brentford. Potter outwitted the Dutchman on his competitive Old Trafford debut in their opening fixture of the season, Brighton winning 2-1.
Ex-Tottenham attacker Darren Bent says Potter is a better manager than Ten Hag, pointing to that victory. “I think Graham Potter is more than good enough to coach at the top level,” he told talkSPORT.
‘[If Mikel Arteta left] I would be more than happy if he came to Arsenal. Would you take him at Manchester United? He’s better than Erik ten Hag."
He added: “I saw what happened at the start of the season. One team looked like they were coached, another looked like they did not know what they were doing.”
