Tottenham Hotspur leapfrogged Manchester United in the Premier League table on Monday night, despite being held to a 1-1 draw by relegation-threatened Everton at Goodison Park.
Former United youngster Michael Keane netted a stunning 90th-minute equaliser, cancelling out Harry Kane's earlier penalty, to earn the Toffees a share of the spoils, meaning Spurs failed to start the post-Antonio Conte era with a victory. A point, however, was still enough to take them above the Reds in the standings and into fourth on goal difference.
United, of course, failed to hold onto third place on Sunday afternoon, losing 2-0 to Newcastle United at St James' Park. That meant the Magpies moved above Erik ten Hag's side and into third, meaning United were the biggest losers over the weekend in the race for a top-four finish.

Newcastle, Spurs and United, however, are now equally locked on 50 points, meaning the battle to secure a top-four finish could prove to be a pulsating race right up until the finish line in late-May. It is, however, important to point out that Spurs have played two games more than both United and Newcastle at this stage.
Therefore, the race for a top-four finish is likely to take several twists and turns between now and the end of the season. With that said, MEN Sport has taken a close look at United's 11 remaining fixtures and compared them to both Newcastle's and Spurs'.
