Wes Brown believes adding Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham to the squad this summer would make Manchester United title challengers in the next few years.
United manager Erik ten Hag is expected to sanction at least two major signings this summer as he looks to build a squad fit for a concerted major trophy push, with a world-class goalscorer and a ball-playing No.8 top of the Dutchman's list.
Tottenham striker Kane has been earmarked as the prime target to fulfil the striker role, with the likes of Victor Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani also on the club's radar. United have been long-time admirers of Bellingham, who looks set to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer amid interest from across Europe.

“If Manchester United sign Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, they win the league in the next three years," Brown told William Hill podcast, No Tippy Tappy Football. "I don’t see why they couldn’t with those players and the manager they have.
“Kane wants to go to Manchester United; they’d love him. We know what he can do in the Premier League, so they aren’t messing about there. He is a bit older and will probably cost a lot of money, but he will do the job straight away.
"He’ll bring the missing piece United can’t seem to get right at the moment. They need someone that is scoring goals week in, week out.”
With Kane about to enter the final 12 months of his deal at Tottenham, the general consensus is that the North London club would need to sell their star now rather than risk losing him for free next summer. But with chairman Daniel Levy remaining stubborn, a move may not be as simple.
