Manchester United supporters are urging Frenkie de Jong to finally put pen to paper on a move to Old Trafford.
De Jong, 25, remains the priority target for Erik ten Hag as part of his rebuild at Old Trafford which has already seen Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen sign for the club. Lisandro Martinez is also expected to sign after the club announced a deal had been struck with Ajax.
However, the one Ten Hag really wants is De Jong and his would-be move from Barcelona has proven anything but easy for United. They reached an agreement in principle over De Jong last month at the same time they announced a similar breakthrough with Feyenoord for Malacia.

Malacia, 22, promptly signed and joined up with his United teammates for their pre-season tour, but moves to sign De Jong have stalled and he is currently in the United States with Barcelona. He stepped off the bench for them recently for a surprising cameo at centre-back against Inter Miami.
After that 6-0 victory, the Netherlands international posted on Instagram and received the usual clamouring for his signature from United supporters. Here is a selection of those comments;
