New Manchester United signing Lisandro Martinez has vowed to give “100 per cent every game” he plays for the club. The Argentine was officially announced as a Reds player on Wednesday before featuring in United colours for the first time in a 4-1 behind-closed-doors friendly win against Wrexham just hours later.
The 24-year-old was a part of Erik ten Hag’s Ajax side that lifted the Eredivisie title last season, having also previously won the Dutch league and cup double. He was awarded the club’s player of the year at the end of last term.
Martinez becomes Ten Hag’s third signing of the window following the arrivals of Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen - who scored in the 4-1 win over Wrexham. United fans were excited to see Martinez's move confirmed and will be pleased to hear of his early promise.
