A man has pleaded not guilty to ‘making an explosive substance’ following an incident in Reddish.
David Prior, 50, appeared over video link at Minshull Street Crown Court this morning. He is charged with making an explosive substance namely 'improvised explosive devices’ between January 1 and June 1 this year.
Emergency services were called to a property on Middleton Road, in Reddish following an incident last month.

Mr Prior pleaded not guilty to the offence and a trial date was set for November this year.
A further case management hearing was set for September 8. Mr Prior was remanded into custody until the next hearing.
