Barcelona want Bernardo this summer despite well-documented financial concerns. However, while the playmaker himself would also be open to a move, reports from The Athletic suggest Barcelona or other potential suitors would have to pay £84million for his services.
Bernardo cost City around €50m from AS Monaco in 2017. He has three years left to run on his contract.
Elsewhere, reports from Sky Sports claim City want to sign Liverpool target Matheus Nunes this summer. Nunes, 23, currently plays for Sporting Lisbon and put pen to paper on a contract extension there last summer.
