Manchester City will offer Erling Haaland a brand new £500,000-per-week contract this summer in a bid to fend off interest from Real Madrid, according to reports.
Haaland joined City for just £51million last summer after having his release clause at Borussia Dortmund activated. The Norwegian penned a five-year deal worth a reported £375,000-per-week, which is the joint highest in the Premier League alongside Kevin De Bruyne and David de Gea - albeit with add-ons that take it far higher.
Real Madrid have been interested in the 22-year-old for some time, and 42 goals in 37 appearances this season has only intensified their desire to land bring the goalscoring machine to the Bernabeu, a rumour which Haaland's agent Rafaela Pimenta fuelled by admitting it would be a 'dream' move for all players.

City have seemingly taken heed of the speculation and will sit down with their striker this summer, with the Sun reporting they will offer Haaland around £500,000-per-week in order to extend his stay for a further 12 months until 2028. The Blues hope a fresh new deal, combined with hopeful major trophies in his debut season, will keep the Norwegian happy at the Etihad.
Elsewhere, the Daily Star reports that Leeds United are interested in re-signing Kalvin Phillips this summer as the midfielder struggles to make an impact at City.
Like Haaland, Phillips arrived at the Etihad last summer but has suffered opposing fortunes to his fellow Leeds-born Blue. The 27-year-old has suffered a number of injuries, most notably the recurrence of a shoulder issue that required surgery, and has failed to displace the ever-present Rodri at the base of midfield.
