Erling Haaland might still be available for Manchester City's Premier League clash against Liverpool, despite not training this week with his groin injury.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed the extent of Haaland's injury, as well as how long Phil Foden will be out for after undergoing surgery to have his appendix removed. Foden will definitely miss the Liverpool game, while Haaland will be assessed on Friday ahead of the Saturday lunchtime kick-off.
Haaland withdrew from Norway's international fixtures last week with a groin problem picked up in City's FA Cup win over Burnley, and has not trained on his return to the Etihad. Guardiola said he was still a doubt to face Liverpool.

Speaking ahead of the visit of Liverpool, Guardiola confirmed the extent of injuries to the two forwards, saying Foden will miss two to three weeks of action.
"Phil had the surgery, Erling is recovering," Guardiola said. "[On Friday] we have the last training session and we will see how he feels."
Guardiola also hinted that he would be prepared to take a risk with Haaland if he is made available to play, adding that the striker is feeling good.
"We see today, at the end the doctors and the player will decide how he feels," he said. "I spoke with him, he feels good. We will see. Life is risk in these stages, we have to take it.
"We score a lot of goals, he scores an incredible amount of goals. In the past we score a lot of goals. I have a feeling City under Mancini and Pellegrini were always a team who scored a lot with different players. This is what we do until the end of the season."
