A man has been charged more than a year after a fatal road crash that killed a 21-year-old and left others in critcal condition.
Ryan Wheeler died after the Skoda Superb he was travelling in was involved in a collision with an Audi A4 and a Ford Tourneo on Auchenhowie Road, Milngavie.
Emergency services rushed to the incident on February 26, 2023, but Ryan, who had been travelling in the rear of the Skoda, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 16-year-old girl, also a rear passenger in the Skoda, was blue-lighted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where her condition was described as critical at the time. While the 19-year-old male driver of the Skoda was also taken to hospital with serious injuries. Both were later discharged.
Police confirmed on Sunday that a 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences. He is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, May 7.
