A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Alan Lawson whose alleged 'kidnap and torture' was shared on social media.
The 36-year-old died in hospital two days after he was discovered seriously injured at his home in Saltcoats, Ayrshire, on February 4.
On Tuesday, police confirmed a 29-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the death. He is due at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland statement read: "A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Alan Lawson (36) from Saltcoats.
"Mr Lawson died in hospital on Tuesday, 6 February, 2024 following an assault at a property on Alexander Avenue, Largs, over the weekend of Saturday, 3 February, 2024."
Earlier, Detective Chief Inspector Ally Semple, of the Major Investigation Team, said officers were assisting the family of Mr Lawson.
