A man charged with possessing drugs with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon has been remanded in custody ahead of a crown court hearing.
Greater Manchester Police said today Samuel Davies, 24, has been charged with one count of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of an offensive weapon.
Davies, of Whimberry Way in Withington, Manchester appeared before magistrates at Manchester and Salford magistrates court on Tuesday, the force added. He was remanded in custody at the hearing.
GMP said his next court appearance would be at Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday, April 11. They said the charges followed a warrant being executed after police received 'information that resulted in his arrest earlier this week'.
In a statement, GMP said: "Samuel Davies, 24, of Whimberry Way, Withington, has been charged with possession with intent to supply of a Class B drug and possession of an offensive weapon.
"He appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Tuesday 7 March 2023.
"He has since been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance at Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday 11 April 2023.
"This charge comes after an investigation which saw neighbourhood officers execute a warrant after receiving information that resulted in his arrest earlier this week."
No further details have been revealed.
