A 20-year-old man has been given just weeks to live after he went to A&E suffering lower back pain.
Dylan Lamb, 20, noticed he was suffering from the pain in April 2022 but first shook it off thinking he had just pulled a muscle. He returned from university to his family home in Staffordshire and managed to get painkillers from his GP.
But Dylan and his mum, Kim, went to A&E on April 28, 2022, after the pain became "unbearable". A blood test confirmed the student's white blood cell count was "through the roof" and he was admitted to hospital for further tests.

She told the Echo: "He had this lower back pain that could have been multiple different things, he thought he had pulled a muscle. We were coming home for Easter and it got progressively worse, he lost his appetite and was being sick.
"His mum took him to A&E in unbearable pain and a blood test showed his white blood cells were through the roof. It all happened so fast, he was diagnosed with Leukaemia and then three days later he was having chemotherapy."
Dylan, who studies international business at the University of Liverpool, was transferred to Nottingham City Hospital where they have a specialist Haematology Team and a Teenage Cancer Trust Unit. Treatment included chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant.
He also had to endure bone marrow biopsies, high dosage steroids and intrathecal injections. Dylan also made the decision to have his sperm frozen in case he became infertile following

Stephen Rodrick U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) had a time-honored tradition during the six seasons of the original “Justified.” The rakish law man would chase a baddie across Kentucky back roads and trailer parks. Bullets flew, and moonshine was consumed. Still, Givens always made time for a philosophical and deep conversation with his prey before the final showdown. Raylan would learn something humanizing about his nemesis’ motivation and, inevitably, realize he himself could be a dick on occasion. These talks often featured Boyd Crowder, Givens’ frenemy played by Walton Goggins with a mouthful of Biden-white teeth, a shock of black hair and buckets of country wisdom. They were so humanizing that you often forgot Boyd was a white supremacist turned drug dealer.
