Former Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay leads the cast of latest gripping Channel 5 drama Love Rat. The actress plays Emma, a divorcee whose crumbling love life goes from bad to worse when her life savings are snatched.
After being swept up in a whirlwind romance abroad, Emma realises she's been scammed. She reunites with her ex-husband as they embark on a dangerous mission to retrieve her money.
The series also stars Casualty's Gerald Kyd as love interest and scam artist Niko and Line of Duty's Neil Morrissey as ex-husband Pete. Love Rat, which was filmed on the Mediterranean island in 2022, begins airing tonight (Monday March 11).

Sally said of the series: “Love Rat is a brilliantly entertaining story, full of twists and surprises; it really turns the topic on its head which is what drew me to the project. Emma is an interesting and layered character that everyone will be rooting for as she takes control of her situation and her destiny.”
Neil added: “Channel 5 are making some fantastic dramas and the punchy four-hour format is very exciting, which is why you see so many people gravitate towards it. The premise of this story, about someone being conned, was really interesting.”
In need of some escapism, recently-divorced Emma heads off to the stunning island of Cyprus for some sun. She soon catches the eye of Niko, the manager of the fancy hotel she's staying at.
