Love Island viewers have been left confused over "missing scenes" from the show, after Will Young called out his pal, Shaq Muhammad. Will has been known as the happy-go-lucky joker throughout the Winter 2023 series of the show, but his mask slipped on Tuesday night's episode of the show, as he discovered that a number of Islanders had been speaking about his partner Jessie behind her back, and by extension, his.
After finding out that people had been questioning if Jessie was genuine, Will said that he wasn't sure who he could trust, as he named best pal Shaq as one of those people. But fans of the show were baffled as, of all the scenes that were aired of people talking about Jessie, Shaq wasn't one of them.
The Islanders that had were Casey O'Gorman and Maxwell Samuda, after the latter pulled Casey for a chat, as well as Olivia Hawkins, Lana Jenkins and newcomer Rosie Seabrook. When Maxwell pulled Casey for a chat, he told him: “When it was the Casa recoupling and Jessie came back and realised Will was single and she started crying the entire time I was looking for a tear and I couldn’t find a tear.” Shaq referenced this, as he said that he himself had also wondered about Jessie at the time, as she got involved in other couples' dramas and screamed at the boys.
When Shaq pointed this out to Will, who was "livid" and "fuming" about the situation, it appeared to anger Will further as he questioned whether or not his pal Shaq actually had his back. Later, as Will spoke to Jessie, he named Shaq as one of the people he didn't know if he could trust, which lead Jessie to then question Shaq the next day.
