Love Island bosses are believed to have "approached" the son of This Morning's Alison Hammond to appear on the latest show, which is just weeks away, according to reports. The Sun claims that 18 year old Aiden was contacted by ITV bosses to go on the show, after the successes of celebrity offspring on it, including Gemma Owen and Dani Dyer. Aiden is the only son of popular TV celeb, Alison.
She shares him with her ex-husband, Noureddine Boufaied, who she was married to when she burst onto the scene in Big Brother back in 2002. But, whilst Alison has made a career on telly, it seems that Aiden isn't rushing to follow in her footsteps, as he is thought to have turned down the opportunity to go on Love Island. A source told the publication: “Alison was flattered but Aiden has turned it down.
"Producers know that contestants with a famous parent are a huge hit.” OK! has contacted Alison and ITV for comment. Alison has previously revealed that her son doesn't watch TV, including tuning in to see her presenting This Morning, which she does on Fridays, alongside Dermot O'Leary. Speaking to The Mirror last year, Alison said: "I’ll be honest with you, he doesn’t [watch].
"He watches TikTok and YouTube, and he’s a gamer. I have to go up to him and say, 'Babes, watch the TV!' and then he’ll put the television on and watch it. "Occasionally I’ll go home and he’ll say, 'I watched you today Mum, you were really good.' I say, 'How much did you watch then? Two minutes?!'" In the same interview, Alison gushed about how she "doesn't feel like she's worked a day" in the past 20 years, as she praised her job on This Morning as "lovely".
